Being a part of the Kingsmill Sharks is not only about swim practice and meets but more importantly about fellowship and fun with friends and family. As a team, there are several events and activities planned each summer that bring the swimmers and families together that ultimately bring a sense of cohesiveness.
The kickoff event of the season is Family Fun Night which is scheduled on Friday, June 18th. Pizza is provided and pool games are part of the agenda. This is a great team-building event and also an excellent opportunity for new and returning families to experience the excitement of the season!
On July 4th, the Sharks decorate a float to participate in the Kingsmill parade. Swimmers either ride in the float or ride their decorated bikes during the event. It is fun to see the spirit these kids have and the enthusiasm they show! This is always a very proud moment for our Sharks!
On the mornings of home meets, swimmers will enjoy breakfast after practice. This is typically donuts or pastries with juice. On the afternoon of away meets, swimmers meet to decorate cars to form a caravan to the opponants pool. This is a terrific way to show our spirit as a team!
We will also have a Sharks bowling day and movie day where we get together as a team and enjoy each others company outside the pool. Dates will be posted during the season.
